There are several effective methods to clean the ball, but we intended to discuss the basic formula at first. You need some elements to clean the ball in this section, these are

  • Bucket
  • Warm water
  • Liquid dish soap
  • Towel

When a ball gets plenty of dirt or mud just remove these unnecessary items using a dry dish towel or try to rinse them using a hose. Now, pour warm water in the sink or bucket and mix some liquid dish soap to the water. Uses sufficient soap depend on the number of balls or much dirty they are. Now, liquidate the ball into the bucket’s water and soak the ball for around two hours so that dirt or mud wipe out from the ball easily. Swab the golf ball with dry and dish towel and keep the ball on the open space for perfect dryness. Make sure the ball gets perfect air-dry before playing the game with the ball again. 

How to Clean Golf Balls From a Pond

It is a common scenario in the golfing that frequently the ball falls into the pond. But it does not mean that you lost the ball forever. You can collect this ball easily, or you can take help from other staff for collecting the balls. In most of the cases, it is surely possible to retrieve the ball after collecting theme using some right tools. If the balls have been in the pond for a long period of time, it looks like dirty and grimy. So, you should clean the balls before using them again. Purchasing a new one could be a solution, but it may be expensive or unnecessary. So, you can save your hard-earned money by using some simple steps. When your balls get dirty, just use these steps to make it ready for the next round of the play.

Take a bucket or container to hold a gallon of water in a safe area where splashed water will fail to damage the surface. To catch or prevent any dripped and splashed water just place an old rag or towel under the container.

Add a three-fourth portion of the hot water of gallon into the bucket or container. You should pour the hot water so that it does not splash. Then drop three effervescent denture cleaning tablets into the water. Now mix the tablets with hot water gently using a long spoon or other objects to ensure cleaning bubbles in the water.

Soak the dirty ball to the bucket where denture cleaning tablets were mixed. Try to minimize the time gap between mixing the tablets and dropping the balls into the hot water to get the highest result. Let the ball for proper soak for several minutes.

Pick the balls from the water and inspect the balls carefully so that there has no dirt or debris is remaining on the balls. Next, have any stubborn deposits, remove them using a toothbrush. Now wash the golf balls in cool running water to wipe out denture cleaner and any debris.

Gently rub the balls with a clean towel. Keep the ball in a place where have enough air circulation to dry out properly before you bring it to the golf field for the game.

Final Verdict

Our observations, the golfing ball is easily solvent with any dirt and debris, which is a hassle for the professionals. Most of the professionals are intended to replace the ball by purchasing a new one, but it is expensive or matter of wasting money where some easy and effective solution to reuse these balls have. I firmly believe, if you follow the above-mentioned cleaning formula to clean the balls, you could not have to purchase new balls. Because using these techniques, you will be able to reuse the forsaken balls.
